Equatorial to Galactic Converter
by: Laura download link: Equatorial To Galactic version: 1.0 platform: Windows (.exe)
This is a handy little tool used to convert equatorial to galactic coordinates. To use it, get the Right ascension (RA) and Declination (Dec) for a star or other astronomical object. Enter their values and press the convert button. The galactic coordinates will be displayed on the right. You can then use the galactic coordinate to place your object on the rabiki.com Bubble map.
Rabiki Time Converter
by: Laura download link: RabiKi Time Converter version: 1.0 platform: Windows (.exe)
Any measure of time within a galactic civilization needs to be based on something common to all. RabiKi time is based off of the rotation of Sagittarius A*—the black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, which makes one revolution every eleven Earth minutes. A cycle is equal to one rotation of Sagittarius A*. This little app will convert a single unit of time to all other units of time. In the example to the left, I entered 3 for days and pressed the calculate button. It then converted 3 days to the remaining Earth time measurements and also to all RabiKi time measurements.
