Title: Anti-Missile-Artillery Magnetic Acceleration Cannon Emplacement
Author: ilKhan Ozy (Ronald Butts)

Description: The AAA MAC Emplacement is the smaller twin to the MAC Repeater. Both operate in the same way, with one key difference: the sheer amount of matter they pump into the surrounding environment. Whereas a Repeater weapon may fire only 40 or so slugs per minute, a single emplacement, usually consisting of a dual mount, can fire upwards of 160 slugs per minute. The advantage to having multiple barrels on a single emplacement is that a ship may stagger its firing order so that it has a better line of coverage, without as many gaps while the other barrel reloads. The more recent variant of the emplacement has increase the total firing guns from two to four. This the advantage of increasing the firing capacity while allowing for smaller ammo size. The most common slug calibres for this type of weapon are only around 1-2 cm.
For instance:
A standard repeaters firing pattern may be something like this:
with many holes for an enemy to slip through
A dual emplacement will at a minimum have a firing pattern similar to this:
See, it has much closer rounds, closing up the above mentioned gaps
